Swimming a very tough lineup of the 100 free, 100 fly, 200 free,
200 breast, 200 IM, 400 free and 400 IM, Meghan Hawthorne finished
off the long course season with some fast swimming in Federal Way,
Washington. Swimming her way to 4 evening races, she won her heats
in 2 bonus finals placing 17th overall (200 fr 2:03.1, and 200 br
2:35.1), and won the consolation heat in the 400 IM with a PB time
of (4:49.77), which would have placed her 4th in the Championship
heat. On competition day number 5, after racing 9 times, she hopped
up for the 200 IM and rocked a (2:17.7), good enough for a top 5
seed in finals. After a bomb threat at the facility, delaying the
start of finals and causing a bit of confusion, Meghan pumped out a
(2:16.63), good enough to finish 6th place, in a heat with 2 women
that had just broke national records in previous events. Great
Swimmin!
